It has been said that "Grouchy's BBQ" is an oxymoron. We've heard muttered around these parts, that you cannot have great BBQ and be grouchy.
Well, we agree.
It is when we are without BBQ we are grouchy.
So what better way to have a big smile and full tummy than doing what you are passionate about, cooking great barbecue for a living. And that folks, is what we do!
For twenty odd years we have traveled the world exploring, tasting and learning the fine art of slow wood pit cooking. We have tasted and learned from those with a rich tradition... in the small BBQ joints of the deep south.
Blending tradition with practice, we developed our own recipes and techniques, some unique to the barbecue world, resulting in Grouchy's original flavour profile. We stand alone in using only our exclusive Rubs & Sauces.
Our path led to what is now "Grouchy's Signature BBQ Sauce", a sauce two decades in the making!
"The finest BBQ Sauce in the World" is a praise often heard and humbly accepted. It is a big part of our success.
But we also understand... that we also believe Grouchy's barbecue is the best in the world, there is no such thing as bad barbecue. It is all good... some is truly outstanding.
So who are we you ask... well, we're just some good old hospitable folk, that studied, practiced and perfected the art of smoked barbecue.

We are in our simplest, a Mobile Kitchen and Barbecue Pit. During the week we are found serving our valued Corporate clients with on-site BBQ lunch specials and promotions at our location in front of Fluid Gym, (the old Firehall) in Grimsby, Ontario.
On weekends we are found catering private parties and at many of the various Festivals, Fairs and Events around Southern Ontario as the areas premier barbecue food vendor.

What is Southern-Style Barbecue
Grouchy's offers authentic southern-style barbecue with a distinctly Canadian twist. Southern barbecue is mostly defined as indirect, slow cooking (often up to 18 hours), in wood fire pits that produce an unrivaled taste. The flavours are rich and deep... like no other.
Adding a personal touch with our own closely guarded secret rubs and sauces, we offer you un-equalled flavour and tender goodness. Sweet with a hint of spice defines the Grouchy's flavour profile.
And we do all that, with passion, zest and a big old smile.
